Start a projectI’m a video editor, and I work on my own. The person who reads your brief is the person who cuts your film — there’s no account manager in between and no queue to wait in.
The work is a real mix. Documentaries, where hours of footage have to become one clear story. Brand films and ads, built to a budget and a deadline. Creator work and podcasts, where the pace matters as much as the cut.
Whatever the footage, the job is the same: find the film that’s already in there. You shouldn’t notice the edit, only that you couldn’t look away.
